Claude Code skills

Claude Skills: A Free Directory of Claude Code Skills

These are the 17 Claude Code skills I use every day for WordPress builds, Next.js sites, website and email copy, SEO audits, LinkedIn, publishing and tutorial videos. Each one is a plain SKILL.md file that Claude loads when the task matches, so you can read it, install it or adapt it. They are grouped into 8 plugins and published free under the MIT licence.

How to install the Claude skills

In Claude Code, add the repository as a plugin marketplace once, then install the plugins you want. Each plugin is independent, so you only install what you need.

/plugin marketplace add rodneylungayan/claude-skills

Then install a plugin, for example /plugin install writing-toolkit@claude-skills. The install line for each plugin is listed with it below.

Installing everything is fine. A skill only enters the conversation when its description matches what you are doing, so the ones you never use cost almost nothing.

Claude Code skills: common questions

What is a Claude Code skill?
A skill is a plain SKILL.md file that tells Claude Code how to do one job properly. Claude loads it on its own when your request matches the skill's description, so you do not have to remember it exists.
Are these skills free?
Yes. Every skill here is published under the MIT licence on GitHub, free to use, change and redistribute.
Do I have to install all of them?
No. The 8 plugins are independent, so you can install one or all of them. Installing everything is fine too, because a skill only enters the conversation when its description matches what you are doing.
Do the skills need my personal details?
Most need nothing. The few that need to know something about you, such as your site URL or your ClickUp workspace, read a small Markdown file from ~/.claude/profiles/ and ask you for it the first time.
Are these official Anthropic skills?
No. They are unofficial, not affiliated with, endorsed by or sponsored by Anthropic. They are the toolkit I use for day-to-day client work, with my own names and account IDs taken out.
