What Content drafter does

A copywriter and content strategist for email and website copy. You hand over a brief, a handful of bullets or a single sentence, and you get a complete draft you can use straight away: outreach emails, newsletters, hero sections, about and service pages, landing pages, CTAs, taglines, FAQs and product descriptions, each with its meta title and meta description.

What you give it

A brief, rough notes, bullet points, or one sentence describing the page or email you need.

What you get back

  • A complete draft, ready to paste into the page or the email client
  • A meta title and meta description written to the Yoast standard
  • One or two short variations if a different tone or length would help

Use cases

  • A service page from a one-line brief

You know the service and the town, and nothing else is written yet. The draft comes back with a banner title, main content, an about block, FAQs and the meta tags, structured the way a service page is normally built.

  • Outreach and follow-up emails

Cold emails, client updates, announcements and newsletters, each with a single call to action so the reader knows exactly what to do next.

  • Tightening copy somebody else wrote

Paste the current text and ask for it shorter, warmer or more persuasive. The structure stays; the padding goes.

  • Regulated industries

Health, medical, legal, financial and safety copy is written to set honest expectations instead of promising results, which keeps the client on the right side of their regulator.

How to use Content drafter

  1. Install the writing toolkit

Add the marketplace once, then run /plugin install writing-toolkit@claude-skills.

  2. Describe what you need

Say "write the hero and intro for a dental implants page in Bristol" or paste the brief. You do not need to say the word copywriting; the skill loads when the request matches.

  3. Read the draft, not a questionnaire

The skill drafts first and asks at most one question, and only when the recipient, audience or product is genuinely missing. Reacting to a draft is faster than answering five questions.

  4. Ask for a variation

Say "shorter", "more formal", or "make the CTA harder" and the same draft comes back adjusted.

Benefits

  • No placeholder copy

It never hands back a draft full of [INSERT BENEFIT]. Filler puts the work back on you, which is the opposite of the point.

  • Your spelling and locale

en-AU, en-GB or en-US is taken from your own writing or the existing site, and the choice is stated in one line so it is cheap to correct.

  • SEO built in, not bolted on

Every page draft comes with meta tags, bolded key phrases and internal links to real URLs on the site. Link targets are marked TODO rather than invented.

  • One job per piece

Each email gets one call to action and each section gets one purpose, which is what makes copy convert instead of just read well.

Install content-drafter

This skill ships in the writing-toolkit plugin. Add the marketplace once, then install the plugin in Claude Code.

/plugin marketplace add rodneylungayan/claude-skills
/plugin install writing-toolkit@claude-skills

After that the skill loads on its own whenever your request matches it. You can also invoke it by name with /content-drafter.

Questions about content-drafter

Does the content drafter invent client details?
No. If something critical is missing it asks one targeted question instead of filling the gap with invented facts, and it never writes placeholder text you have to replace later.
Can it write in British or Australian English?
Yes. It matches the spelling and locale it can see in your own writing or on the existing site, or you can state the locale (en-AU, en-GB, en-US) and it follows that.

Need this built, not just automated?

I build WordPress and Next.js sites for a living, and these skills are the toolkit behind that work. If you would rather hand the job over, get in touch.
