What Job application writer does

Paste a job post from OnlineJobs.ph, Upwork, LinkedIn, a careers page or an email, and get one application you can send as is. The whole value is sounding like a real person who actually read the ad, because the employer is reading dozens of identical AI-written pitches that day.

What you give it

A pasted job post, role description or client brief.

What you get back

  • A labelled subject line, using the exact wording the post demands when it asks for one
  • A message of roughly 100 to 200 words in simple English
  • A short separate note listing anything the profile could not answer, so you can fill it in

Use cases

  • Posts with a hidden filter

Ads that say "start your reply with the word BLUE" or "answer these three questions" are deliberate traps for mass applicants. Each instruction is followed exactly, and the answer goes where the post asks for it.

  • Applying to several roles in a sitting

Your background is read from the profile, so each application starts from real experience rather than a fresh round of questions.

  • Picking the right projects to show

Only the experience that fits this post is used. Listing everything reads as a résumé dump and buries the part that matters.

How to use Job application writer

  1. Install the writing toolkit

    /plugin install writing-toolkit@claude-skills

  2. Set up the applicant profile once

Name, location, years and type of experience, current role, day-to-day skills, past projects with links, availability and rate, saved to ~/.claude/profiles/job-application-writer.md.

  3. Paste the ad and ask for an application

Anything like "write something I can send" triggers it.

  4. Send it

Copy the subject line into the subject field and the message into the body.

Benefits

  • Never invents experience

Fabricated clients, numbers or results are the one failure mode that actually costs the job, because they come apart on the call.

  • No buzzword tells

"Leverage", "passionate about", "I hope this message finds you well" and the rest are exactly what marks a message as mass-produced, so they are banned.

  • No plan, no walkthrough

It does not explain how the work would be done. Past work shows capability far better than a plan written before seeing the site.

  • Respects the post's rules

If the ad rules out page builders, agencies or AI-written applications, the message respects that instead of tripping over it.

Reads ~/.claude/profiles/job-application-writer.md. It asks for the details the first time and offers to save them there, so later runs ask nothing.

Questions about job-application-writer

Does it work for Upwork and LinkedIn as well as OnlineJobs.ph?
Yes. It is written for any board, careers page or email application, and it adapts the subject line to whichever one you are using.
What if the post asks something my profile does not cover?
It writes the application and adds a short note, clearly separate from the message, listing the question so you can answer it yourself before sending.
