What Blog post writer does

A draft you review before anything goes live. The post arrives as a downloadable file in a fixed five-section format: an SEO table, the full post, a link list, a featured image brief and a pre-publish checklist. Whatever publishes it takes the file as is, so the structure never varies.

What you give it

The conversation you are in, plus your site URL so internal links can be crawled.

What you get back

  • Section 1: an SEO table with the keyphrase, title, meta description and slug
  • Section 2: the post itself, 900 to 1,300 words in plain English
  • Section 3: the internal and external link list
  • Section 4: a featured image brief
  • Section 5: a pre-publish checklist, including anything that would fail a Yoast check

Use cases

  • A draft to approve before publishing

You want to read and edit the post yourself rather than have it go straight to the site.

  • Handing the post to someone else

The file goes to a VA, an editor or a client in a format they can work with directly.

  • Posts that have to pass Yoast

Keyphrase use, title and meta length, subheading spread, paragraph length, transition words and passive voice are all written to the green standard.

How to use Blog post writer

  1. Install the publishing toolkit

    /plugin install publishing-toolkit@claude-skills

  2. Point it at your site once

~/.claude/profiles/blog-publish.md holds the site URL, the author, the tags in use and the cover style. It is shared with the publish pipeline.

  3. Ask for "a post from this conversation"

The site is crawled before a word is written, so the internal links are real.

  4. Take the file

It is delivered as a .docx, or as Markdown if no docx skill is available.

Benefits

  • Based on what actually happened

Results, numbers and tools that were not in the conversation are not invented to fill space.

  • Client details stripped

Client names, hostnames, IPs, ports, other domains, credentials and internal file paths are removed, and sensitive figures rounded.

  • A format that publishes cleanly

The five sections never vary, so whatever publishes the file does not need anything stripped out by hand.

  • Honest checklist

Anything in the post that would fail a Yoast check is listed in section 5 rather than glossed over.

Install blog-post-writer

This skill ships in the publishing-toolkit plugin. Add the marketplace once, then install the plugin in Claude Code.

/plugin marketplace add rodneylungayan/claude-skills
/plugin install publishing-toolkit@claude-skills

After that the skill loads on its own whenever your request matches it. You can also invoke it by name with /blog-post-writer.

Profile
Reads ~/.claude/profiles/blog-publish.md. It asks for the details the first time and offers to save them there, so later runs ask nothing.

Questions about blog-post-writer

What is the difference between this and the AdSense version?
Same five-section format. The AdSense version adds an experience gate, an original table or checklist, an ad-layout check and a policy check, because posts that read like a generic AI summary are the main reason new sites are rejected.
