What Blog publish pipeline does

One flow started from a conversation. It crawls your site for real internal links, writes the post, generates an SVG cover, drafts the matching social post and its infographic, shows one review in chat, publishes on your go-ahead, schedules the social post, and optionally builds a short vertical video package.

What you give it

The conversation you are in, plus a site profile naming the site, the publishing backend and the author.

What you get back

  • A published post with real internal links taken from a live crawl
  • An SVG cover plus a rendered PNG preview
  • A social post and its infographic, scheduled at your usual offset
  • Optionally a short vertical video with a caption and a thumbnail

Use cases

  • Publishing what you just worked out

Say "blog this" at the end of a session and the post, cover and social content are drafted together.

  • Keeping a site updated without a content process

Real work becomes posts, and the crawl keeps the internal linking honest.

  • One review instead of three rounds

The post and the social content are created together and reviewed together, so you are never asked separately for the image.

How to use Blog publish pipeline

  1. Install the publishing toolkit

    /plugin install publishing-toolkit@claude-skills

  2. Fill in the blog profile

~/.claude/profiles/blog-publish.md names the site URL, the backend, the author, the timezone, the cover style, the social account and the schedule offset.

  3. Say "publish this to my site"

Stages run in order: crawl, write, cover, social draft, review.

  4. Review once, then say "go"

Publishing only happens on your word. You can also say "draft only", "no social" or "no video" to skip stages.

Benefits

  • Will not guess which site to publish to

Without the profile it stops and asks before anything that writes. Publishing is public and not cleanly reversible.

  • Internal links are real

The site is crawled first and the slug is checked as free, so no post ships with an invented link.

  • One review, everything in it

A review that shows half the work forces a second round trip for no reason, so the post, cover and social content arrive together.

  • Works with any backend

The publishing target lives in the profile, so the skill is not tied to one CMS.

Install blog-publish-pipeline

This skill ships in the publishing-toolkit plugin. Add the marketplace once, then install the plugin in Claude Code.

/plugin marketplace add rodneylungayan/claude-skills
/plugin install publishing-toolkit@claude-skills

After that the skill loads on its own whenever your request matches it. You can also invoke it by name with /blog-publish-pipeline.

Needs
A web-fetch tool for the crawl, Playwright for the infographic, and Python plus ffmpeg for the optional video stage.
Profile
Reads ~/.claude/profiles/blog-publish.md. It asks for the details the first time and offers to save them there, so later runs ask nothing.

Questions about blog-publish-pipeline

Will it publish without asking?
No. It shows one review in chat and waits for an explicit go. Reading and drafting happen freely; anything that writes needs your word.
Can I get a file instead of a published post?
Yes, ask for "draft only" — or use blog-post-writer, which is the skill built to hand over a .docx rather than publish.

Need this built, not just automated?

I build WordPress and Next.js sites for a living, and these skills are the toolkit behind that work. If you would rather hand the job over, get in touch.
